Zhiyun SMOOTH-Q5 Ultra Smartphone Stabilizer Combo Kit

The Zhiyun SMOOTH-Q5 Ultra Smartphone Stabilizer Combo Kit is an advanced smartphone filming accessory designed to deliver smooth, stable and professional-looking videos. It features an improved design focused on durability, comfortable handling and easier operation. The stabilizer retains useful features from its previous version while introducing new enhancements, including voice commands, a detachable remote controller and an AI tracking module that helps keep subjects properly positioned within the camera frame.

The stabilizer is designed for convenient one-handed operation, with upgraded controls that make filming easier. Its buttons, joystick and control wheel allow users to manage different functions, including recording and switching between shooting modes. The powerful motors support smartphones weighing up to 10.6 oz and measuring up to 3.3 inches in width. It also has a scratch-resistant and stain-resistant exterior, providing better protection during regular use. One of its useful features is the built-in extension rod, which extends up to 8.5 inches to provide additional shooting angles and greater flexibility when taking photos or recording videos. The stabilizer also comes with a mini tripod that can be attached to its handle, allowing users to position it on a flat surface for hands-free recording. Its folding design makes it easy to store and carry, while the built-in storage clip helps keep it compact when not in use.

The SMOOTH-Q5 Ultra also includes an integrated LED fill light that helps improve lighting when recording in darker environments. The light produces an output of up to 226 lux, making it useful for selfies, vlogging and indoor video recording. Its lighting system is designed to minimise heat while maintaining effective illumination.

Another important addition is the AI tracking module, which helps the stabilizer automatically recognise and follow a selected subject. This is particularly useful for people who create videos alone because it allows them to move around while remaining within the camera frame. The module also supports gesture commands, enabling users to start or stop recording, control tracking and adjust framing without physically touching their smartphones.

The stabilizer features several onboard controls that make operation more convenient. Its control wheel can be used to adjust the brightness of the separately available fill light, while the sliding control allows users to change their smartphone's focal length. Other controls include dedicated buttons for power, photography, video recording and mode selection, together with a joystick for adjusting movement. The display also provides clearer visibility of the selected operating mode, which includes Lock, Follow, Pan Follow, Point of View and Vortex.

In addition to its physical controls, the SMOOTH-Q5 Ultra supports motion-based operation through hand gestures and remote commands. Users can trigger photographs or video recording using simple gestures, making it easier to capture footage without directly handling the stabilizer. These functions provide additional convenience when recording group activities, personal videos or other situations where hands-free operation is preferred. The device is also compatible with the ZY CAMI smartphone application, which offers additional creative tools and filming options. The application includes shooting templates, editing features, background music and special effects to help users improve their videos. Its SmartShooting function recommends suitable shooting settings based on the recording situation, while SmartFollow 3.0 helps maintain focus on the selected subject. Other creative features include MagicPano and Livestream Master, which provide additional options for producing engaging content.

For greater convenience, the stabilizer supports a detachable Bluetooth remote controller (sold separately) that can operate the gimbal from a distance of up to 32.8 feet. The remote provides access to the main controls without requiring users to hold the stabilizer directly.
